Job summary:

Poeton Industries apply Surface Treatments/Coatings to a huge variety of manufactured components, specialising

in the aerospace industry. The Sales Engineer will be in charge of maintaining, growing and expanding existing and

new Sales Accounts in this Industry. This will involve regular visits, to actively sell our range of services, as well as

review meetings at customer sites, to both review our performance and current work and promote our services

where not currently utilised within that Account.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

1. Sales Growth

  • To work closely with the current potential customers that Poeton has a relationship with in Poland to facilitate bringing that work into the Rzeszow site.

  • Visit all new potential customers, to ensure they have a full understanding of what Poeton Polska can offer, working with the customers purchasing and Technical departments.

  • Work on all new enquiries, ensuring they’re quoted on time and that quotes are followed up.

  • Visibility of customer work programs and their customer structure. For example from aircraft build down to individual part level.

  • Involvement in new projects/work packages at the initiation stage to follow through to production

  • Develop LTAs for current and new work where possible

  • Work with Key Account supply chains to determine what other supply chains/industries they operate in and whether Poeton can service them.

  • Review other value added services that Poeton could tap into (bush insertion, lab testing, NDT)

  • Understanding of any competitors they use and formulation of attack plan.

2. Market Intelligence

  • Develop an understanding of the local market and how best Poeton Polska can capitalise on


  • Prepare marketing material (with assistance from UK head office) for Poeton Polska

3. Technical Sales

  • Become the ‘go to’ technical authority for all finishing requirements.

  • Work with the design engineers on new projects

  • Provide technical presentations on new coating/REACH developments.

  • Ensure Poeton have vision of any new finishing processes to the market that the customer may plan to use.

4. Customer Service

  • Ensure the day to day production performance (TAT and RFT) meet the agreed figures. This should be done as an overview and not managed day to day as this will be done by production/quality departments.

  • Hold monthly/quarterly meetings with the account procurement department to review monthly performance and obtain part forecasts for upcoming months.

  • Ensure efficient flow of sales process of new parts – from quotation through to full production runs. Ensure production and quality are fully on-board and with all process and documentation requirements.

Individual requirements, knowledge & experience:

  • Ideally from a Sales/Account Management background, preferably in a Technical or Engineering field

  • Good customer relationship skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Well organised

  • Ability to spot sales opportunities

  • MS Office

  • Position would suit a graduate or former engineering/business apprentice

  • Knowledge of surface treatments would be ideal

  • Knowledge of engineering/manufacturing would be preferable

  • University / College graduate

  • Technical / business apprentice with 3+ years experience
