Poeton Polska spółka z o.o. (referred to as ‘Poeton Polska’, ‘Poeton’, ‘Us’ and/or ‘We’) are committed to privacy and protecting the personal information of our visitors. We aim to be clear and transparent regarding what personal data we collect, how we store it and how we process it.
For the purpose of this policy, ‘personal data’ refers to any information relating to an identifiable person.

Poeton Group has over 120 years’ experience within the surface treatment industry, developing innovative treatments and providing solutions to some of the worlds largest engineering companies.
In respect of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller is Poeton Polska sp. z o.o., Jasionka 954, 36-002 Jasionka, Poland.

3. The Personal Data We Collect
Poeton Industries may collect the following information:
- Your name
- Your postal address, telephone number, email address and job title
- Your browsing activity on any of Poeton websites
- Your location
- Your communication preferences
- Your communication with Poeton
- The orders you place with Poeton
- Other publicly available personal data, including anything which you have shared via a public platform, such as social media
Our websites and services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
This is not an exhaustive list and we may collect additional information for the purposes in the policy. We may also collect personal data from third parties who have your consent to pass your details to us, or from publicly available sources.

6. How We Store Your Data
All data is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA). Poeton are committed to safely storing your personal data. Data may be transferred to Poeton Group companies in Great Britain. Poeton Group companies are using same level of protection as predicted in GDPR.
Data will also be processed by staff who work for us and, or by one of our suppliers. This includes for example staff fulfilling your order, processing your payment details and providing support services. We take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is processed securely.
7. How Long We Store Data For
This depends on the type of data collected and what its purpose is. We will only keep data for as long as we need to, but the longest we will normally hold data for is 7 years, however information relating to Aircraft Safety Data has to be kept for the life of the aircraft (typically 40 years) and health and safety data which is kept indefinitely, but both only contain limited personal data.
8. Sharing Your Personal Data
Your data may be transferred to Poeton Group companies in Great Britain, only for internal policy purposes. We may occasionally share your data with a third party who are acting as one of our suppliers. These third parties will only act on the documented instructions of Poeton and both parties understand their responsibilities, especially in regard to safeguarding personal data.

9. Legal Basis For Processing Personal Data

Depending on the circumstances, personal data may be processed by Poeton under the following bases:
- Consent – Where you have given a clear confirmation that you are happy to receive communications from us, such as on one of our website contact forms.
- Contract – The processing of data is necessary to carry out a contract we have entered into, or a contract that both parties are working towards entering.
- Legitimate Interest – Where the processing of data is necessary for Poeton legitimate interest. When relying on this basis to process data, we have completed and will maintain a legitimate interest assessment. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Promoting & marketing our services that we believe will be of interest to you
- Promoting & marketing our events that we believe will be of interest to you
- Using surveys to understand our customers behaviour, activity and preferences in order to improve our services and/or offerings
- To better understand how people interact with Poeton
- To enhance, modify, personalise or otherwise improve out services / communications
You have the right to withdraw consent or inform us that Poeton should not contact you in regards to marketing communications at any time. This can be done via our contact details set out in this policy or via the link at the bottom of any marketing emails we send you.
Where you have advised of this, we will still require to hold a limited amount of personal information, typically name & email address, to be able to administer your request.
10. Your Rights
Under data protection laws (including GDPR) you have certain rights, and you can make requests to us about the personal data we hold on you. Requests can be made verbally or in writing, and can be made to any part of our organisation. It will help us to complete your request more effectively however if you contact our Vice-President, Steve Elliott-Mead (steveelliott-mead@poeton.co.uk).
To do this we will need to verify your identity prior to releasing any information.
The Personal Data Protection Office have a page on their website that includes guides to data protection issues (https://uodo.gov.pl/pl/p/poradniki). We will respond within one month from the date of the request, and will not ordinarily charge a fee.
As defined by the GDPR your rights are:
- Right to be informed. You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data, as detailed in this Privacy Policy.
- Right to access. You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you want to request a copy you can contact us as detailed.
- Right to rectification. You have the right to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate and we want to ensure that your personal information is accurate.
- Right to erasure. You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. You can ask us to erase your personal data where there is no good reason for us to continue to process it. - Right not to be subject to automated decision making including profiling. Where such processing produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects;
